Is this correct or incorrect English?

It’s perfectly correct English – It’s a classic ‘if’ sentence where the ‘if’ can be replaced by inverting the subject and verb. We, of course, made it very tricky by using the ‘had’ ‘had’ form.

The translation is: Hatte ich mehr Zeit gehabt, hatte ich Sie früher kontaktiert.
